Betty Whitaker Jackson

Building Bridges represents a ten-week writing program helping senior adults express their ideas about building bridges between people, generations, and readers. They also reminisced about significant bridges they knew in their lives, travels and careers, and enjoyed learning about bridge-building between themselves and animals and people. Some in the group served as scribes for people challenged with poor eyesight or arthritic joints. Others drew sketches or portraits. We chose photographs of railroad bridges, the tallest bridges in the world, bridges currently in the news, and exchanged our stories to find what makes each member unique.

This is the fifth anthology they have created since the beginning of 2024.
