Just as the graduation, commencement, commissioning ceremonies stress in speeches, advice, and directives, like pretty much everything else, the Bible has the best takeaway truth.
“Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. She offers you life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left. Wisdom is a tree of life to those…..
Today we honor those who served our nation in war and peacetime in the armed services, and especially those whose sacrifice included injury and death for the cause of our liberty. We also remember their families, who through their loved ones’ deployments and absences had to continue their family lives missing, and no doubt concerned about the welfare of their servicemembers.
I wrote a book…..
We watched a film last night on Newsmax. It is available on YouTube. It is called Faith Under Siege. It is about Ukrainian Christians, about the Russian Orthodox Church’s obedience to Russia, Tucker Carlson’s incorrect assumptions, and the strengthening of the Christian message in occupied sections of Ukraine. It is a must see, and a call for prayer for Christians of Ukraine I wish our government officials could see it as well.
The end of the school year always reminds me that learning never ends. I was always amazed, as a teacher, at how long it took each fall to get students “in the grove” of learning after eight weeks “off” during the summer. I’m convinced that around the year schooling is beneficial, but only if the entire school system does it at the same time. What an amazing world we’ve seen from…..
Not a feeling often in Florida, but I’m feeling like the old adage, my life is like a snowball rolling down a steep mountain, choosing its path among many possibilities.
I’m trying to decide on two contest entries, a short story and a novel, and whether they’re “good enough” to have a chance of winning. I’ve wavered on my choices, revised and evaluated, hopcing judges will see value in each or both. My resident perfectionism curse rears its ugly head,…..
Today is another in my life’s epic days! After months of “gestation,” the “new baby” is born! That’s the thrill I get to experience when a new book is “born,” and the final product is in my writers’ hands. This one, the fourth anthology published by my You Are Unique writing group at Glenbrooke, is written, organized, typed, edited, proofread, sent to KDP for printing, shipped, delivered, and now is ready for each reader to enjoy the fruits of our…..
